Today of this Spiti Valley tour, from Kalpa, we continue driving on the famous Hindustan – Tibet Highway or the NH 22 – This stretch is famously known as one of “most treacherous roads of the world” by the lonely planet in a visual spectacle. Don’t let that little piece of information deter you because your local drivers are highly skilled and experienced while driving on these roads. As you begin embracing the jaw-dropping views watch the mountains change their colours from the lush greens of the Kinnaur valley to the many hues of brown.

After a quick refueling stop at Puh, we proceed to Nako – the last hamlet of Kinnaur, before we enter the gates of Spiti Valley. After lunch in Nako, we drive through Sumdo, the first village of Spiti Valley on this road, to Tabo, where the most ancient monastery is. Overnight at a hotel in Tabo.

Today of this Spiti Valley tour, we drive to dankar first if you want  then driv towards the beautiful Pin Valley. Imagine a national park with an abundance of animals and birds, with some rare plant varieties, a river that gushes when it isn’t frozen and trekking opportunities for the adventure-seekers. The Pin Valley promises all this and more. We first visit the Kungri Monastery and then the beautiful hamlet of Mudh – the last motorable village of the Pin Valley.

Declared a national park in 1987, Pin Valley has altitudes ranging from 11,000 to 20,000 feet and is home to at least 12 endangered snow leopards. In addition, other animals indigenous to the region and park are the Siberian ibex, bharal, weasel, red fox, and marten. Birds such as the pika, griffon, golden eagle, bearded vulture, chukor and raven paint the skies a pretty picture.

By evening, drive to Kaza, the commercial capital of the Spiti valley and spend the night in a hotel in either Kaza or the nearby village of Rangrik. Overnight at a hotel in Kaza.

Morning visit the Ki monastery, 12 kms from Kaza. This centuries – old gompa is a labyrinth of rooms and corridors – and at one time also acted as a fort. It houses valuable Thangkas and offers a panoramic view of the area. Also visit the permanently inhabited village of the region Komic, Lagza and Hikkim villages. Overnight at hotel.

Travel from Kaza to Chandra Tall enroute visit Chicham bridge crossing over Kunzam Pass providing beautiful views of CB ranges. On arrival at Chandra Tall check in at camp. Evening walk till lake and explore beautiful lake of Moon. Overnight at camp.

Travel from Chandra Tall to Solang Valley driving over Rohtang Pass (3980 m) which offers fine views of glaciers and snow, capped peaks. Evening time at leisure in Valley. Overnight in hotel.

Post breakfast driving  Solang to Jispa via Atal Tunnel, which is now the new gateway to Lahoul, Spiti, Pangi, and Zanskar valley. After crossing the atal tunnel drive alongside the chandra river till tandi. From Tandi along the Bhaga River to Keylong and to the hotel in Jispa.

After breakfast, Leaving Jispa, we drive to Darcha and continue to Shinkun La. The highest point of our trip at 5,090 meters. Top of Shinkun la there is prayer flags and mani stones that are telling the story of those people who cross over years back. With an impressive view to Zanskar side the valley we take summits rising above 6000 m of the Great Himalayan range. The road descends to Pankeya and further to Lakhong, Along the right bank of Kurgiakh chu and below the mass fallen rocks of Gumborungjum peak. We finally arrive at Kurgiakh, the first village of Zanskar. We pass the Karu, Tangze village to a series of stupas before reaching Purney. Purney is situated at the confluence between Tsarap and Kurgiak chu and forms the Lungnak River valley.

Today morning we will trek to phugtal gompa. The Phugtal Monastery trek which will take approximate 01 hour to reach 7 visit Phugtal gompa and which leads to the monastery perched on a cliffside at the mouth of a cave.

After Visitin the Gompa, drive to Padum. Enroute we will visit lchen, Bardan gompa and village , raru village etc. Arrive Padum, check into hotel. Rest time at leisure in Padum. Overnight in hotel.

Today after breakfast we will go for Padum sightseeing -places will cover Zangla Palace and village, Kharsha Monestery, Sheela Waterfall, Stongday and pibiting gompa etc. back to hotel and overnight stay.

Today after breakfast, drive to Kargil from padum. Today we will also visit siani lake and village, drang drung glacier, lang tso lake, rangdum etc. after crossing the Pensila top we will enter the Suru Valley, Rangdum then to Kargil. After reaching Kargil, Check into hotel and overnight  stay in hotel.

Today after breakfast drive toward Srinagar from Kargil over Zozila Pass. Its bit long journey today so we will check out hotel early in the morning. Enroute we will visit Drass, zero point and Sonmarg as well. Arrive Srinagar check into hotel and overnight stay in hotel.
